Rafi Hamidi

Program Director

Rafi Hamidi is a Doctoral Researcher in Law at Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Fulbright alumnus. He is a legal clinical specialist, sustainable development consultant, education advisor, and contributor to the United Nations Headquarters.

Hamidi holds master’s degrees in Sustainable International Development Law from the University of Washington and in the International Protection of Human Rights from the University of Roma La Sapienza. His experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor in Law and Political Science, Visiting Researcher at Royal Holloway, and Fellow at the University of Toronto.

Recognized for his expertise, Hamidi received accolades such as “Best Oralist Respondent” and “Best Overall Oralist” at the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition. His diplomatic skills were further developed during his Fulbright Journey as an Arkansas State Goodwill Ambassador.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Hamidi’s work at the UN in political and peacebuilding affairs has deepened his insights into international diplomacy. He is a committed member of the Afghanistan Fulbright Association and an alumnus of the Legal Education Support Program for Afghanistan (LESPA), dedicated to advancing justice and empowering Afghanistan’s youth through research and advocacy.
