Behzad Hakim, an alumnus of Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, has extensive experience in finance strategy within the consumer goods sector. He is deeply committed to promoting democratic values and international security. As Founder and Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Defence of Democracies (CIDD), Behzad leads initiatives to educate Canadians on safeguarding democracy. He also serves as Secretary-General of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Canada and as an Engagement Relations Officer at the NATO Association of Canada. As Director of Affairs for AYLO, Behzad focuses on building strategic partnerships and fostering collaboration among young leaders. As a passionate advocate for a free and democratic Afghanistan, he is dedicated to advancing human rights and protecting democracy worldwide.
